SNAP-NC RECEIVES GRANT TO KICK OFF CAMPAIGN TO RAISE FUNDS FOR A NEW MOBILE HOSPITAL!
The Margaret T. Petrie Spaying and Neutering Foundation is a foundation that provides grants for organizations whose mission is to decrease the number of unwanted pets that are euthanized in NC every year, simply because there are not enough homes. It’s founder is deceased but she has left this legacy and in recent months, SNAP-NC was awarded $53,500 towards a down payment on a new mobile hospital, which will be outfitted like our existing hospitals where it will go into service providing low income pet owners with access to affordable, safe spay and neuter surgeries!
A new hospital will cost $255,000. And, it takes about 4-5 months to build to our specifications. Anyone who has been lucky enough to see the inside of our hospitals, can tell you that these are lean, mean, surgery machines! Add our highly compassionate doctors and nurses to the equation and the result is approximately 5,000 high quality surgeries performed ever year on every SNAP-NC hospital.
